Former President Donald Trump dominated a 2024 straw poll conducted at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas, indicating that he remains the first choice for the Republican party's presidential nominee, crushing Gov. Ron DeSantis and others.
In the numbers released on Saturday, Trump came in first with an overwhelming 69 percent of attendees supporting the former president. DeSantis came in a distant second place with 24 percent, while Sen. Ted Cruz took third with a measly 2 percent.
