Annie Wersching , best known for her role as Renee Walker on 24 and the Borg Queen on Star Trek: Picard , has passed away at the age of 45. Wersching began acting in 2002 at the age of 25, when she first appeared in an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise as Liana. She would go on to act in over 40 television series, along with two film roles and two video games. Wersching first appeared on 24 , a crime drama television series, during season 7 as FBI special agent Renee Walker. She continued in the role through season 8, before departing after her character's assassination.

Wersching passed away Sunday morning in Los Angeles following a battle with cancer, her publicist told The Associated Press. The type of cancer was not specified.
