Dr. Deborah Birx , one of the public faces of the Trump administration's covid task force, resigned this week, and she's now speaking out about her tenure in a new CBS interview.
In a preview for this Sunday's Face the Nation , Margaret Brennan directly asked Birx, “Did you ever consider quitting?”
“Always,” Birx said. “I mean, why would you want to put yourself through that every day.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki declined to say on Friday whether President Joe Biden will stand by his predecessor's determination that China was engaged in “genocide” against Uighurs, an ethnic minority.
“The previous administration, on their way out the door, declared that China's human rights abuses against Uighur Muslims were ‘crimes against humanity' and ‘genocide,'” a reporter noted in a question at an afternoon White House press conference. “Does the president agree with that determination, and will he keep it?”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki took a moment during Friday's press briefing to tell reporters that the color scheme of Air Force One isn't exactly something President Joe Biden is remotely concerning himself with in the first week of his administration.
