26 days ago   |   By Wood TV

Three Michigan voters are expressing disappointment with the first debate between Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
Amytess Girgis, a 21-year-old University of Michigan student, said: "Something is wrong here. Something is deeply wrong here."
"I'm sort of of the disposition that the vast majority of Americans have decided who they're voting for," said Girgis, who intends to vote for Biden. "The question is the body of Americans who are deciding whether or not to vote at all."
Jeff Hohlfeldt, a 35-year-old executive with an automotive supplier, agreed...

Senator Bill Cassidy On How President Trump Could Have Done A Better Job During The Debate

26 days ago   |   By FOX News Radio

Senator Dr. Bill Cassidy joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss the first presidential debate and explain where President Trump needed to improve his messaging. Cassidy liked President Trump's line saying he did more in 47 months than Biden did in 47 years but felt the president needed to drill down on how we are at record low unemployment for various groups including African-Americans, veterans and women. Another area Cassidy said he hoped President Trump would have made a better case for is how his administration helped make health insurance more affordable and drastically reduce premiums for...

Following That Stressful Showing, Here's Who Will Moderate the Remaining Debates

27 days ago   |   By Pop Sugar

President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden faced off in the first presidential debate in Cleveland on Sept. 29, and unfortunately, there's more to come. The political event was marred by major inaccuracies and constant crosstalk, with moderator Chris Wallace often unable to interject with questions and productively guide the conversation. What's become evident, more than ever, is the importance of an effective moderator.
Steve Scully will lead the second presidential debate on Oct. 15 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. Scully is a political editor...

“Their theory of the case was this,” host Chris Cuomo said in post-debate segment with Lemon, referring to the president's preparation for the debate. “We're going to come out and hammer him. We're going to show that he gets addled. That he can't keep up with the pace of Donald Trump. And that Donald Trump is mighty and strong and Joe is stuttering and weak.”

Senator Tim Scott insisted Donald Trump “misspoke” while addressing white supremacists during his first 2020 debate with former Vice President Joe Biden .
In the aftermath of the debate, Trump is facing broad criticism for how Fox News' Chris Wallace asked him to denounce racist groups, which amounted to tepid condemnation from Trump as he told the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.” As Scott met with Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Amy Coney Barrett , on Wednesday, he was asked if he had any concerns about this.
“I think he misspoke in response to Chris Wallace's comment,” Scott...

Fox News Contributor & CEO of The Dispatch Steve Hayes spoke to Brian Kilmeade about the first presidential debate being a disappointing night for America. Kilmeade even gave the president the benefit of the doubt by saying, “I don't know if he didn't hear it, but he's gotta clarify that right away. That's like, ‘Are you against evil?' Why the president didn't just knock it out of the park, I'm not sure.”
